My Story
I began my life as a jeweller over 15 years ago after starting Further Education evening classes. Before long, I realised that I wanted to take my jewellery making further and I left my position as a teacher to focus on growing it as my business.
My jewellery originally evolved with the making of one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by antique textiles, buttons, shells, fossils, seed pods and flower heads and well, anything else that caught my eye or struck me as having a unique beauty or fascination.
I really enjoy attending craft events and sharing my jewellery and story. You can find out where I’ll next be exhibiting plus all my latest information on my News Page here.
My Influences
From a very early age, I loved taking broken items and re-interpreting them into new, miniature artefacts.
Before becoming a teacher and starting my family, I trained as a Theatrical Prop Maker at Wimbledon College of Art, and it was my time there that sparked my interest in jewellery styles throughout history.
Now, living and working within the beautiful rural surroundings of my South Devon home, my own personal design style has developed and is flourishing.
My Ethos
With a long-standing commitment to use recycled precious metals, all my jewellery is made from guaranteed 100% recycled silver and gold and, keen to further reduce the impact that my jewellery making has on the environment, I limit the use of chemicals as much as I can and always choose eco- friendly alternatives when available.
Customers and clients buying or commissioning jewellery from me, can be confident that together we are making an ethical difference to the future of our planet.
My jewellery is hallmarked at the London Assay Office, Goldsmiths’ Hall in London.
My Collections
From bold and patterned layers; clean cut lines and architectural shapes; twisted, free flowing forms and eroded weather worn treasures, to delicate and exquisitely interpreted hedgerow flowers.
I hope that you’ll love these collections as much as I have loved making them.
