How to Care for your Jewellery
Fact:
All silver jewellery is likely to tarnish (oxidise) over time and when this happens it is best to clean silver gently with a soft silver polishing cloth. However, with a little bit of extra care and attention it is easy to keep it looking as good as new.
I recommend that you:
Store your jewellery in a soft lined box or pouch and keep pieces apart, so that they don’t rub together or tangle up.
Try not to let your jewellery come into direct contact with chemicals including nail polish removers, perfume and hairspray, chlorine or salt water.
Remove jewellery when doing household tasks such as gardening or cleaning and
Try to remember to give your jewellery a wipe with a silver polishing cloth before storing it away from sunlight and heat in a jewellery box.
Natural tarnishing can also appear if jewellery is left unworn for periods of time so, above all, enjoy wearing it!
